Context

Skyeng is#nbsp;an#nbsp;online school for learning English. It#nbsp;grows and evolves steadily. Skyeng L&D team needed constant updates about new learning methods and practices. In#nbsp;other words, they wanted a#nbsp;system of#nbsp;finding and implementing innovations.

Objectives

Teach the L&D team to#nbsp;search for knowledge and#nbsp;turn it#nbsp;into tools.

Solutions

We#nbsp;helped organize an#nbsp;internal laboratory for designing and testing of#nbsp;innovations. For several months 6 teams from different departments worked in#nbsp;the laboratory.

Results

All teams have worked in#nbsp;the laboratory, done research and implemented innovations in#nbsp;their departments.

Topics of#nbsp;research: modern aspects of#nbsp;distance learning, creating engaging content through gamification and motivational design; designing challenges in#nbsp;learning; transition from teacher to#nbsp;mentor in#nbsp;blended and distance learning.

Skyeng and HSE University jointly published a digest describing several cases of#nbsp;innovations.
